Pimpri, 24 Oct (The Press Watch) – The much awaited result of state assembly elections have been declared the unexpected 1st result was declared from Pimpri Assembly where straight fight was seen between NCPs Anna Bansode and Shivsenas Adv.Gautam Chabukswar. Anna has stood up in pimpri as the face and hope of NCP. Anna scored total of 86985 votes while Gautam scored 67095 votes and 3246 people selected NOTA. With this Anna leaded 19,890 votes and won.
In Chinchwad assembly prominent contenders Laxman Jagtap from BJP and Rahul Kalate a independent contender had a straight fight. Kalate scored 1,12,225 total votes while Jagtap scored 1,50,723 votes. And so Jagtap scored 38,498 more votes than kalate and won the seat. This time it was seemed to be a bit tuff for Jagtap. While 5874 voters choosed NOTA.
In Bhosari Aghadi supported but independent candidate Vilas Lande failed to score magic figure. Sitting MLA Mahesh Landge scored total of 1,59,295 votes. While Vilas Lande scored total 81,728 votes. Landge scored 77,567 more votes than Lande. And 3636 voters selected NOTA. A good lead as compared to Laxman Jagtap has been scored by Landge and so the dream of becoming a minister has once again arrosed by Landge supporters. With the win of Landge history of independent candidate winning from Bhosari has also come to an end.
Now with 2 BJP MLAs and 1 NCP MLA what all political changes will take place in Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation will be interesting to see.
