Pune, 22 Nov (The Press Watch) – “The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) has organised an international conference for practitioners of chartered accountancy on December 14 and 15, 2019.
The conference will be held at Mahalakshmi lawns, near Mhatre bridge, Pune. ‘Path for Success- learn, adopt and accelerate’ is the basic theme of the conference. It is aimed at exploring opportunities for chartered accountants globally and to identify and understand emerging technical trends and innovations”, said CA Kemisha Soni, Chairman of Board of studies, ICAI & International conference in the press conference.
During which CA Durgesh Kabra, vice-president of ICAI and international conference, CA Vandana Nagpal, Director of Board of Studies, CA Chandrashekhar Chitale, CCM & Director of the conference, CA Anand Jhakhotiya RCM, CA Yashawant Kasar, RCM, CA Ruta Chitale, President of Pune center and co-ordinator of the conference, vice president Abhishekh Dhamane, secretary CA Sameer Ladha, Treasurer Kashinath Pathare were present.
The opening ceremony of this two-day conference will be held on December 14 at 9:30 am at the hands of central minister of Jal Shakti Gajendrasingh Shekhavat, Union Environment Minister Prakash Jawadekar and Member of Parliment Rajyavardhan Singh Rathod.
CA Prafull Chajed will be the chair at the opening ceremony. Various sessions have been organised along with special guidance from experts including ICAI’s vice-president CA Atulkumar Gupta, Kemisha Soni, Durgesh Kabra’s among others. Students from abroad have also confirmed their participation for this conference and nearly 3,500-4,000 registrations have been confirmed. Students From SAARC countries have also confirmed participation. The Conference will culminate in the presence of Rajya Sabha MP Ajay Sancheti. It will take place on December 14 at 5 pm.
Various cultural activities have also been planned by CA students at the conference.
On the first day of the conference, a lecture on ‘Auditing and Corporate law’ has been arranged by ICAI’s former president CA Amarjit Chopra, followed by KPIT Technology’s co-founder CA Ravi Pandit who will address the student on ‘Information Technology and finance’, while another session by ICAI’s former president CAT .
N. Manoharan will discuss the Ethics of this industry with students. CA from New Delhi Dr. Girish Ahuja has been appointed as mentor on the second day of the conference. In an effort to reduce stress among students, spiritual sessions will also be held by spiritual leader Shri Shri Ravishankar, founder of Yog Center of Jagadguru Kriplauji Swami Mukundanada.
The first session of the second day will see guidance by CA Rajesh Loya, Former president of ICAI Nagpur Division who will speak on ‘Taxation and Economics’. On the topic of ‘Accountancy and strategic cost management’ former member of central committee CA Dr. S.B.Zaware will conduct a lecture. In the last session of the conference, CA Aseem Trivedi will talk on the ‘Values and Ethics chartered accountancy professionals should follow.’ Kemisha Soni will also contribute to this topic.
The criteria for students to participate in the international conference is that they should be registered IPCC or intermediate students and they should be CPT qualified. The students should have appeared for final exam and completed practical training or the student must have completed article ship or currently practicing. There are over one thousand of students from Jammu and Kashmir registered at ICAI and the more than 3000 students from North East study the courses of ICAI. Our next step will be to give Jammu and Kashmir and North East students free of cost education so that more students from these regions will take up our courses,” said Durgesh Kabra.
