Aundh, 4 Dec (Dhanraj Choudhary) – Divyang Indian Chamber of Commerce, Industry (DICCAI) and Balkalyan Sanstha Aundh, organised Divyang Talent show and Bal Anand Mela on occasion of International Day for physically challenged people on wednesday.
Over 85 Divyang school participated in this event, around 3000 Divyang children enjoyed fun fair, cultural activities- Dance, singing, musical instruments and Award ceremony.DICCAI awarded cash prize, trophies and certificates to 30 Divyang students from all over Maharashtra in 5 different categories for their talents.
DICCAI also felicitated 5 different organizations working for the disabled. 1st prize of Rs 1 lakh to Dr. Manohar Dole Medical foundation (Dr. Dole), 2nd prize of Rs 50000/- to Sanskar Pratisthan (Mr. Ulhas Kenjale) 3rd,4th & 5th prize of Rs 10000/- each to Cochlea Pune(Dr. Avinash Wachasundar), NAWPC ( Mr. Rahul Deshmukh), & Hirkani Mahila manch(Mrs Sunita Kurkute) respectively.
Special award were also given to Mountaineer Mr. Sagar Bodake he himself is a Divyang and Dr. Shilpa Thorat for selflessly working for Divyang.
Founder Mr. Raghunath Yemul Guruji organised this Award Function in memory of his mother Sushila Yemul and donated Rs 1,50,000/- to Balkalyan Sanstha.
In this event Chief guest were Padma Shri Pratap Rao Pawar, Dr. Gajanan Ekbote ( chairman Progressive education society), Shri B.J. Deshmukh (Prashasak- krushi utpanna samiti), Shri Hanumanth Gaikwad( chairman BVG Group), MP Wakchaure, Dr. Nivedita Ekbote, Dr. Dole.Mr. Rajesh Pandey, Dr. Gunwant Oswal, Mr. Raj Deshmukh, Mr. Jitendra Rathi, Shri Vikas Bhandari were present on the occasion. Managing director Rajshree Gagare and Director Mrs Neelima Yemul thanked the attendees.
