Aurangabad, 8 Dec (Kalyani Pawar) – To create awareness about conservation of monuments and heritage properties around the globe Mahatma Gandhi Mission authority organized 7th Heritage Run on the occasion of 37th foundation day.
A total of 1,500 citizens had participated in this competition from different age groups and for different distance competition. Among which Shyam Wagh and Deepali Tupe won the tournament. Shyam Wagh took 36.38minutes in the men’s group while Deepali Tupe Finished 10 km in 42.42minutes.
They were rewarded by a total prize of Rs. 10000 and other top Athletes were also awarded by 1.30 lakh rupees.
The award was distributed at the hands of Aurangabad City Police Commissioner Chiranjeev Prasad, his wife Shobha Prasad, Heritage Hero Abraham Pathros, Vice Chancellor of MGM University and Secretary of the Institute Ankusharao Kadam, Vice-Chancellor Dr. Sudhir Gawane, Registrar Ashish Gadhekar, Ranjit Kakkad, Assistant Commissioner of Police (Transport) Dinesh Kumar Kolhe, Inspector of Police Ashok Giri, Dr. Pradeep Kumar and all the department heads.
The competition started from the MGM’s ground. Dignitaries showed a green flag to the contestants by age group.
The competition ended by returning to the MGM grounds from Central Naka, GST Office, N1 Chowk, Garvare Corner, Pandit Supermarket via caste fortunately.
Aurangabad Police, SRPF, Army, Railway employees, officers of various industrial companies, employees, Shaurya Academy, and student’s from various schools and colleges participated in this competition.
