Pune : Recognizing the need for PPE Kits for the protection from the COVID-19, State Bank of India, Pune Metro Administrative Office today donated three hundred Sanitizer Bottles, three hundred Face Shields & YONO jute bags to CISF, Pune Airport.
P. Seshu Babu, Deputy General Manager (B&O), Pune Metro Administrative Office, handed over these kits to Shri. Santosh Suman, Dy. Commandant & Shri. G. G. Bhargav, Asstt. Commandant, CISF, Pune Airport Unit.Shri. Manish Chandra, Regional Manager – RBO II, Shri. S. A. Shende, Branch Head, AFS Lohegaon Br. were also present for the function.
The function ended successfully with the collective efforts of Shri. Jayant Sinha, Manager Liaison, Ms. Shashikala Patil, RMDB & Shri. Krishna Kulkarni, Manager – OL.
Speaking on the occasion, P. Seshu Babu, DGM (B&O), said that State Bank of India under “CSR” initiative, is consistently undertaking various programs like social, educational, health-related equipment, agricultural development, water conservation, tree plantation, rural economic development, etc. As a sense of duty and responsibility towards the community, Bank is giving priority to relief work as well as providing uninterrupted financial services to all, in this difficult time of the Corona Pandemic.
All the employees of the Bank has collectively contributed Rs. 200 crore to the Prime Minister Care Fund. The bank is supporting the Nation at the national level as well as at the local level. Bank has distributed food grains and groceries to the laborers in Pune city and rural areas of Pune during the current COVID-19 Epidemic crisis. With the help of ISKCON’s “Annamruta”, ready-made food was distributed to approximately 2500 needy & poor per day for 25 consecutive days in the slums of Pune and Pimpri-Chinchwad. Distributed 1204 PPE kits to Pune Municipal Corporation, Four Hundred N95 masks to Poona Hospital, 300 Masks, 300 Face Shields, 300 Sanitizer Bottles to Pune City Police. Our Branches are also serving selflessly to customers with safety and appropriate care with regard to COVID-19.
Three ventilators distributed to three well-known Govt. Hospitals in Pune for speedy treatment of COVID patients. Also Pulse Oxy- Meters & Thermal Scanners were distributed to various Govt. Offices in Pune City. On the occasion of State Bank Day on 1st July, more than 5000 trees were planted at various places in Pune City.
