Pune, 9 Nov (The Press Watch) – “In the new era of Engineering and technology, the ‘Tribology’ branch has gained unique importance. In the coming days, numerous opportunities for research and employment will be created in Bio-Tribology and Nano-Tribology, ” stated Dr. D N Malakhed, Advisor Member of AICTE. While speaking at the inaugural ceremony of the ‘Advances in Tribology’ training program on behalf of the Mechanical Engineering Department of the AISSMS Engineering college.
Dr. Malakhed further stated that “The importance of Tribology has also increased globally. The subject ‘Tribology’ is now introduce in almost all degree and postgraduate courses.”
Speaking on this occasion Shri Ashok Mehta, President of Tribology Society of India said, “Our organization conducts seminars and workshops on this topic in India and abroad. There is a great demand of experts in this field.”
While expressing his views on Tribology Mr Suresh Shinde Joint secretary of AISSMS said, “From so many years knowingly or unknowing but scientifically, we are using this technology. The importance of ‘Tribology’ is going to grow more and more at every stage of development, “The program, which was from 4th November to 9th November included Expert lectures, industrial visits, discussion sessions, research dissertation presentations from Industry and academia.
AISSMS Secretary Maloji Raje Chhatrapati praised the program and gave good wishes. Principal Dr. DS Bormane reviewed the progress of the college and explained forthcoming goals. Dr. B D Bachchhav, Head Mechanical Engineering, explained the role and importance of the program. Programme coordinator Dr. P S Gajjal conducted the programme and expressed vote of thanks.
