Ronak Punjabi And Karan Aswani Highest Sold out Players In The Auction
Pimpri, 10 Nov (The Press Watch) – The much awaited event for Sindhi’s in Pimpri, “Sindhi Premier League Season 2” SPL will be starting from 2nd of December this year. On Saturday auction was done of the prominent players for SPL. In which Ronak Punjabi was sold out for 9 lakh 75 thousand rupee’s the highest of all while Karan Aswani was the 2nd runner up who was sold out for 9 lakh rupees via virtual money pot.
In this season there are 12 team’s with total 151 players which are divided equally into 6-6 teams in 2 groups. SPL is a Day and Night tournament which will be played from 2nd of Dec to 18th Dec at Mrunal Cricket Ground, Pimpri.
Player’s from Pimpri, Pune, Parbhani, Hadapsar and Undri will be playing in this season.
During the auction brefing the media Sri Aswani said, The saying Sindhi’s are meant only for business will broken down through SPL. This is a non profit tournament which has a motive of uniting Sindhi Community through cricket and aiming for fitness.
While Hitesh Dadlani said, SPL is designed in the line with IPL format. Since 20 year non of a cricket player from Sindhi Community has played for India. He introduced Rohit Motwani saying that Rohit is the only cricket player from pimpri at present who plays Ranji and represents Maharashtra. SPL will give a platform giving a push to Sindhi Player’s.
With this SPL management also does social work, this year after the tournament it is going to donate the remaining amount for children education to Vidhyarthi Sahayak Samiti Trust.
On this occasion team owners Vicky Sukhwani, Ashutosh Chandramani, Mayur Tilwani, Harish Abhichandani, Sachin Kukreja, Anup Jhamtani, Sumeet Bodani, Piyush Jethani, Bipin Dhakhneja, Prakash Ramnani, Rahul Ladkani, Krishna Ladkani and Rajeev Motwani were present.
