Pune, 8 Dec (The Press Watch) – Symbiosis won the overall championship at ‘Enthusia’ a two-day inter-college festival organised by the MIT World Peace University Faculty of Management (under graduate). The winning team was presented with a trophy, memento, certificate of appreciation and medals to participating students. This is the ninth year of the festival. Scintillating performances in music, singing and dance by the participants made the competition a wonderful event.
The competition was held at the MIT Swami Vivekanand hall. As many as 18 different competitions in singing, music, dance, management, culture, box sports, scavenger hunt, treasure hunt, cooking, debate, solo dance, group dance, tug-of-war among others. This year, about 37 colleges from Pune and 1,100 students participated in the competition.
At the prize distribution ceremony of ‘Enthusia’ festival, pro-chancellor of MIT world Peace University Dr. Ravikumar Chitnis, marketing event management’s Gabriel Jones, singer Seema Limaye, banking industry member Sadashiv Kulkarni, manager at J W Marriott Girish Sehgal, dean of faculty of management Dr. Kalyani Swaroop, associate dean Dr. Anjali Sane, ‘Enthusia’ coordinator and BBA event management head Prof. Pallavi Aadya, Prof. Shalaka Ghodke, Prof Sumita Joshi among other officials were present. The festival was organised by the third year students.
Dr Ravikumar Chitnis said, “‘Enthusia’ event will be be a good platform for students to showcas their talents in various skills they posses apart from academic. Students must try for overall personality development and ‘Enthusia’ is trying to bring out the hidden talents among students since the last nine years.”
Youngsters dance on foot-tapping songs
The youngsters at the festival let their hair down at the festival on foot-tapping songs including ‘Ganpati Bappa Morya’, Sheeshe se Sheesha Takraye’, ‘Dhum Taan Tanum Dhoom’, ‘Mere Rashke Kama;’, ‘Chal Chaiyya, chaiyya, chaiyya’, ‘Apsara aali’, ‘Jai Malhari’ among others. The audience gave a good response to the youngsters with big applause and whistles. The dance participants presented group and solo dance and won the hearts of the audience.
