Pimpri, 28 Dec (The Press Watch) – On duty employees from Health department of Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation were detained and threatened by a wineshop owner and his son for checking plastic bags in the shop.
This incident took place on Friday afternoon 1pm at Hira Moti Wineshop, Vallabhnagar.
Regarding this Sunil Chauhan (54) employee of pcmc has filed a complaint in pimpri police station. According to which pimpri police has registered a FIR against Santosh Ramesh Shirbhate (46) and his father Ramesh Shirbhate (65) for threatening on duty government employees under section 353, 332,341,183, 186, 504, 506 and 34.
According to reports, on Friday afternoon 1pm Sunil Chauhan and his squad of PCMC employee’s were checking shops who use the banned plastic carry bags in Vallabhnagar area pimpri. When the squad reached Hira Moti Wine Shop near S.T stand. Ramesh Shirbhate who was present in the shop abused, threatened and detained the squad in his shop. And parcelled a sack full of plastic carry bags.
When the incident came in focus all the employees of pcmc union gathered in SantTukaram nagar police chowki. Santosh and Ramesh are not arrested yet. They are said to be on run. PSI Chate is investigating the case.
Important to know
According to new amendment if a case has been registered against anyone under section 332 and 353 it is a non bailable offence. The case has to be run in session’s court only and the verdict must be given with 6 months. And if the person is found guilty he can be imprisoned for 5 years or a Mass penalty has to be payed.
